This gripping presentation by coach Doug Ingram is an inspiring tribute to the late Doc Councilman. In this talk, Doug discusses his philosophy on dreams, accomplishments, and being the absolute best you can be. He passionately ties in his own personal experiences climbing Mt Everest with the types of challenges coaches face every day.
Coach Doug Ingram is the current Senior Director of International Games on the US Olympic Committee, overseeing logistical preparations for USA participation in multi-sport events. He just completed his 22nd anniversary with the USOC where he was previously the managing director of performance services. He has nearly 25 years of coaching experience at the club, high school, and college levels.
As a coach, Doug has garnered 7 NJCAA national team championships, earned 6 NJCAA National Coach of the year awards, has coached 173 All Americans in total, and in 1993 was the recipient of the USA Swimming Award for service to the sport. Doug has been an ASCA Board member for 9 years, 2 of which he served as President. Some of his national and International assignments include the USA Swimming Olympic Planning Committee, US Olympic Team Staff and the US World Championship Team staff.
