  • Coach Beth Winkowski, Dynamo Swim Club
    The 2014 ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year, Coach Beth began coaching at Dynamo in the fall of 2004. She is responsible for the Senior 2 swimmers as well as the development and direction of the Chamblee Staff. Prior to Dynamo she was the Head Coach for 12 years at Portland Aquatic Club in Portland, Oregon where she began her professional coaching career. Beth has coached state, sectional, and zone champions at an individual and team level. She also assisted several swimmers in earning National Top 16 rankings, Junior and Senior National qualifying times.
  • Coach Don Heidary, Orinda Aquatics
    Don is the Co-Head Coach and Co-Founder of Orinda Aquatics in Orinda, California, with his brother Ron. Don has thirty-five years of coaching experience including 20 at OA, 30 high school, and 20 in the summer-league. Averaging less than 125 swimmers, Orinda Aquatics has won Junior Nationals (West), Sectionals, Far Westerns, and placed third at the 2012 Long Course Junior Nationals (men). OA has been a perennial Silver Medal team and one of the top smaller clubs in the country (VCC), this year finish in the top 50 in the nation. The team is Level 4 USA Swimming Club Recognition. Don is an ASCA Level 5 coach (USS and High School), a member of the ASCA Board of Directors, and is the Senior Vice-Chair for Pacific Swimming.
  • Coach Bob Steele
    Bob Steele has coached at all levels, with 19 swimmers world ranked in 41 events, two American record holders, five NCAA ll Team Championships with seven record holders at Cal State-Bakersfield, six National Independent Championships and 9 NCAA I Top Twenty finishes at SIU and Northwestern and a four-time NCAA II Coach of the Year. Retired after 46 years of coaching, he has conducted USA-S Team Excellence Camps as a USA-S Master Coach/Consultant for over 170 teams having a world ranked H.S. age swimmer. Served as USA-S Director of Athlete and Coach Development. Over 50 teams have hosted a Winning Spirit Racing Camp. Recognized by ASCA for contributions to coaching, his book GAMES-GIMMICKS-CHALLENGES for Swimming Coaches is popular with swimmers, and coaches world-wide. He has made presentations to over 40,000 coaches for FINA, LSC’s, Federations and Coaches Associations.
  • Coach Dale Porter, Bolles School
    An established and highly respected coach in Florida Swimming, Porter brings a wealth of experience and a great store of excitement to the Bolles Sharks Age Group program. During his tenure with SPAC, Porter coached swimmers to number one rankings at the local, state, and national level. Porter also served as the Head Coach for St. Johns Country Day School since August of 2004, where he taught physical education. He has been the Age Group Vice-Chair for Florida Swimming, Inc. for the past two years and was awarded the 2011 Florida Swimming’s Age Group Coach of The Year.
  • Coach Jackson Leonard, Gulliver Swim Club
    Coach Leonard served three years as the Head Age Group Coach of the Gator Swim Club in Gainesville, Florida. During this time, Leonard’s swimmers won Florida Swimming and Southern Zone Championships, broke numerous Florida Swimming, Southern Zone, and National Age Group Records, and qualified for the Junior National Championships. Furthermore, USA Swimming recognized the Gator Swim Club as a Gold Medal Club following the 2013-2014 season solidifying the team as one of the Top 20 Swim Clubs in the nation. For his efforts, Coach Leonard was awarded the 2014 Florida Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year as well as being recognized as a 2014 ASCA Top 10 Finalist for National Age Group Coach of the Year.
  • Coach John Leonard, ASCA Executive Director, SwimFAST
    ASCA Executive Director since 1985, John Leonard continues to coach his SwimFast team in South Florida, now primarily as a ten and under coach, John is one of the best-known names in competitive swimming, and is regularly named to one of the “Top Ten Leaders in Swimming” lists by various organizations. John serves on the USA Swimming International Relations Committee, the Olympic International Operations Committee, and as Executive Director and Board Member of the World Swimming Coaches Association, and travels widely within the USA and internationally serving these various related activities.
