The Advanced Breaststroke Clinic provides an in-depth experience to the coach looking to master the stroke in all its aspects. It is suitable for coaches of all ages and breaststroke expertise. Clinic Schedule

8:00 – 1:00 pm Teaching Sports Psychology to Age Group Swimmers
This course focuses on how the coach can teach 2 things: 1) the ability of the athlete to have a Peak Performance when they wish to do so, and 2) teaching the coach to enhance the experience of the athlete by Teaching Life Skills that the athlete will carry with them forever.   • Coach Dave Salo, University of Southern California, Head Coach
    In his 10th season as the Trojans head men’s and women’s Head coach, Salo is firmly entrenched among the NCAA’s top collegiate coaches. His wildly successful Trojan Swim Club has made him a go-to coach for top-shelf swimmers around the world seeking to propel their careers even further. Coach Salo had over 20 athletes competing for several countries at the London Olympic Games, including Olympic Gold Medalists Rebecca Soni and Ous Mellouli. Salo also coached Amanda Beard, Aaron Peirsol, Jason Lezak and Mike Cavic, among others, to Olympic stardom and medals as the Head Coach of Irvine Novaquatics.
  • Coach John Leonard, ASCA Executive Directoh
    The leader of the American Swimming Coaches Association for 30 years, and one of the best known names in the world of swimming today. Still an active coach with his coach-owned “SWIMFAST” swim team in South Florida, Leonard as much as anyone has the credentials to speak on effective leadership and swim meet coaching. Involved in every aspect of swimming from learn-to-swim to international competition, Leonard was gifted with the ASCA Coaches Hall of Fame Award by his Board in 2015.
