Assistant Swim Coach and Assistant Director for Community Programs

Whitworth University is seeking an Assistant Swim Coach and Assistant Director for Community Programs. Under the supervision of the Aquatic Center Director and Head Swim Coach, this position is responsible for assisting the head coach in developing a NCAA Division III men’s and women’s swimming program as well as management and running of the aquatic center. This is including but not limited to: recruitment of prospective student-athletes; training and development of team (both academically and athletically); liaison for academics and other departments on campus; assisting with camp and clinics, and administration of the swim team as well as assisting in overall management of the aquatic center.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years coaching and or competitive swimming experience at a high level is required. Experience in program development as a USA Swimming certified coach, high school coach or college coach is preferred. Knowledge of NCAA and Title IX compliance preferred.
