River City Aquatics is seeking an experienced enthusiastic Head Coach for our year around program.  We are a non-profit, parent owned team, board-governed, coach led swim team in Southeast Missouri. Our swimmers have gone on to represent RCA in sectionals, futures, junior nationals, & Olympic Trials.  In addition, our swimmers have gone on to swim at major university programs: Auburn, IUPUI, Wisconsin, University of Missouri &many others.

River City Aquatics (RCA), is a USA Swimming Club Level 2 Recognition and the club is working to obtain Level 3 by the end of 2020.


*Meet all USA swimming certification & coaching requirements: CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, USA swimming Background Check, Athlete Protection, Lifeguard, First Aid, Concussion and any others deemed necessary for the job duties

*ASCA Level 3 or above preferred

*Prior Collegiate swimming experienced preferred

*Strong technical knowledge of swimming

*Knowledge and understanding of Senior level training in all strokes and distances

*Experience with Team Unify and meet entries

*Physiology and or exercise training experience preferred

*Ability to effectively communicate with parents, swimmers, other coaches, staff via face to face, email, phone etc.

*Bachelor’s Degree preferred

*Promote and encourage a positive culture at all times while serving as Head Coach for the entire team

*Serves as the primary point of contact for competitive coaches in all organizations (USA swimming etc.)

*Coordinate and lead the Southeast Missouri Swim Club Summer(SMSC) League and any duties deemed essential by the head coach

*Maintain a healthy professional relationship with the Board, school officials, and city parks department when needed collaborates on strategic planning, budgeting, marketing, vision, goals and fundraising endeavors

*Supervise, mentor team coaches and assist with recruitment of staff as needed


River City Aquatics offers a competitive salary package commensurate with experience. This includes a base salary, paid time off, professional development and travel expense reimbursement as needed for meets.
