Position Type: Head Coach
The Head Swim Coach is responsible for coaching Bainbridge Island Swim Club student-athletes in competitive swimming techniques. This position directs a year-round USA Swimming program that provides a fun, safe, and enjoyable environment while developing teamwork, promoting sportsmanship, and encouraging athletes and coaches to achieve personal development.
BISC is currently a USA Swimming Bronze level club and has shown strong swimmer retention, averaging 135 members and an ever-growing waitlist. Our coaching staff currently consists of the Head Swim Coach, two part-time assistant coaches, and 1-2 volunteer coaches. Our aquatics team prides itself on a culture of safety not only for our lifeguard and swim instructor staff but also for our clubs and teams. BISC practices safety as a cornerstone by implementing the best training practices and has achieved a team level Safe Sport certification. Please note that both assistant coaches will continue to be employed going forward.
12 step salary scale starting at $51,996 up to $79,892. Starting wage DOE and certifications

About the Organization:
Since its inception in 1965, the Park District has grown substantially and provides a wide array of recreational opportunities for the island. As of 2014, the Park District operates and maintains over 1500 acres in parks, trails, and open space that is available to the community for both active and passive use. It offers countless programs for all ages in areas ranging from sports to cultural arts, and aquatics to boating and outdoor programs. In addition, numerous concerts and special events are hosted by the Park District in island parks.
