Peggy Ewald is an ASCA Level 4 certified swimming coach in three areas including Age Group, NCAA and Disability swimming and has 25 years of coaching experience working with novice to National Champions. She is one of the Level III (of III levels) coaches on the travel list with the US Paralympic Team. Her background with the Paralympic team is extensive serving as the head coach of the US Paralympic team for 2 Para Pan Am Games, and as a member of the coaching staff for 3 Paralympic Games. Peggy Ewald’s 2017 ASCA World Clinic presentation “Integration of Paralympic Swimmers into Your Program” is one that coaches should not miss out on. She focuses on how to train Para-athletes to the Olympic level using the skills and knowledge we have as coaches and making adjustments in our workouts, while understanding the differences of individual athletes.
