Coach Bill Peak began coaching at Lakeside Swim Club in Louisville from 1980 to 1984. In 1984, Brown Deer, Wisconsin, the swimming world changes as Bill Peak coached Mary T. Meagher to World Records in the 100 Butterfly with a 57.93 (from a 59.26 WR) & the 200 Butterfly with a 2:05.96. “She skipped the 58’s.” Respectively, those World Record marks were held for 19-20 years.

From 1984 to 1995 he coached for the Old Dominion Aquatic Club. For a short time, he coached for Trinity Aquatic Team & Trinity Prep School in Orlando (1995-96). During Coach Bill Peak’s last two years, he coached Mirjana Bosevska (Trinity sophomore and member of the Macedonia Olympic team) into a world-class swimmer.

Coach Bill Peak passed away from cancer on December 23rd, 1996. He is survived by his wife – Diane Peak, daughter – Shawna, and two sons – Brian and David.
